PermiPlate™
Professional Grade Polyurethane
A multi-component aliphatic polyurethane concrete sealer formulated for industrial and commercial use. Used as a unique, flexible, abrasive and chemical resistant, and permanent anti-graffiti coating.
Use on decorative concrete stain, masonry, stucco, brickes, pavers, fuel tanks, aircraft, industrial floors, railroad tank cars, chemical tanks, machine tools, electric equipment, laboratory equipment, x-ray equipment, telephones, gas cylinders, pumps, battery cases, store fixtures, piping, ovens, construction equipment and any surface requiring a permanent anti-graffiti coating.
Caution: Like all other polyurethanes, this standard version of PermiPlate is made with isocyanates, which are potentially dangerous irritants to the eyes and respiratory tract despite their relatively low acute toxicities. Polyurethanes have variable curing times, and the presence of free isocyanates in foams vary accordingly.

PermiPlate 0IS™
Eco-Friendly Polyurethane Hybrid with ZERO Isocyanates
Protect one of your greatest investments using PermiPlate 0IS, a revolutionary modified hybrid polyurethane concrete sealer. The two component, eco-friendly polyurethane is manufactured without isocyanates; it's a safe alternative to toxic two-part top coats, but with stronger performance.
As a self-priming hybrid polyurethane concrete sealer, PermiPlate 0IS combines the high chemical resistance properties of epoxy flooring with the advanced durability and wear resistance properties of polyurethane. The 100% solids self-priming and self-leveling formula allows PermiPlate 0IS to be applied at most thicknesses in just one coat (depending on the condition of the substrate).
PermiPlate 0IS is used to protect indoor and outdoor concrete floor surfaces or metal from heavy wear and chemical erosion--making PermiPlate 0IS an ideal industrial concrete sealer.
Based on testing, PermiPlate 0IS is twice as durable, has 15-30% greater adhesion and is 28 times less porous than conventional polyurethane (it is virtually water proof). Due to its zero isocyanate formulation -- zero VOC, and minimal odor -- PermiPlate 0IS can be applied in work environments without shutting down the HVAC system or ceasing adjacent workplace production activities--saving up to 60% in application costs.
Packaging & Coverage
PermiPlate 0IS concrete sealer is available in 1 quart, 1, 5 and 55 gallon containers. Coverage rate for unsealed surfaces is approximately 160 square feet per mixed gallon at 10 mils thickness.
Install with a notched squeegee, porcupine roller or airless sprayer. See instructions below.
Applications and Benefits
As a self-leveling polyurethane, PermiPlate 0IS is ideal for industrial and commercial buildings, garages, chemical plants, warehouses, monolithic flooring for civil, industrial and military marine applications. PermiPlate 0IS is an industrial and professional polyurethane developed specifically for coating professionals who are experience in the use of two-part coating solutions. It's stronger than epoxy flooring systems, yet it offers the same chemical resistance properties of epoxy. Other applications and benefits include:
- Permanent anti-graffiti coating
- Strong elasticity (like epoxy flooring)
- Self-priming & self-leveling - One coat!
- Eco-friendly zero-isocyanate formula is VOC compliant
- Virtually waterproof concrete sealer
- Versatile applications; not just a concrete sealer!
- Minimal business interruption

PREPARATION
All concrete surfaces must be cured, firm and dry. Surfaces should be clean, free of dust, oil, grease and wax. Remove chalky or loose paint, rust, loose mil scale, mildew or any other contamination or condition that would adversely affect the performance of PermiPlate 0IA. Repair all spalls and cracks to appropriate standards; fill control joints, cracks and spalls. Use mechanical means such as sandblasting, shot blasting, grinding or chemical means such as with NewLook preparation products.
MIXING
NewLook PermiPlate 0IS is shipped in two separate containers. The component A material should be thoroughly mixed with mechanical agitation and the component B should be lightly shaken prior to mixing. Pour contents of component B into component A while under light agitation and stir well for approximately 3 to 5
minutes prior to application. PermiPlate 0IS should be kept covered at all times to maximize usable pot life.
APPLICATION
Old Concrete: If needed, apply a thin prime coat of conventional primer used for epoxy or polyurethane systems or thin coat of PermiPlate 0IS. The thickness of the primer layer should be sufficient to seal all the pores and cracks. To fill voids and other physical imperfections of the substrate, avoid pin holing in order to ensure a smooth surface coating.
New Concrete: Allow new concrete to cure for a minimum of 30 days prior to application of PermiPlate 0IS. Apply a thin prime coat of conventional primer or a
thin coat of PermiPlate 0IS used for epoxy or polyurethane systems to reduce out-gassing. Care should be taken to achieve required film build.
Pour mixed material onto the floor immediately after mixing and create needed thickness using a notched squeegee. Back roll with a spiked roller to remove any squeegee marks and achieve a smooth finish. If required, apply top coat within 24 hours of base coat application. To ensure a uniform finish, continue to apply product along the edge of a recently coated area where the edge is still wet (applying new product to a dry edge may leave a noticeable line).
INSTALLATION (RECOAT)
If the second coat of PermiPlate 0IS is not applied within 24 hours of first coat, then surface must be abraded to afford a tooth allowing for proper mechanical/chemical adhesion. Abrade the surface by sandblasting, mechanical sanders or hand sanding, leaving the surface evenly roughened and scratched.
